Dan Corbin “Sculpture: Kiss of the Art Gods” and Patrick LePelch on Flute at Aerena Galleries in Mill Valley, California

At ÆRENA Galleries & Gardens in Mill Valley, California, we had the honor of presenting Dan Corbin's work and enjoying a flute performance by Patrick LePelch.

Dan Corbin's figurative sculptures combine conceptual tendencies with the human figure. In Corbin's blend of figuration and conceptualism, the past, present, and future coexist simultaneously, illuminating the experience of being alive in the current times with all its beauty, complexities, contradictions, and possibilities. Multiple purposes recur as a motif in Corbin's work. His sculptures address contemporary societal issues- materialism, industrialization, and cultural change- while referencing various human emotions. His sculptures uplift the spirit while questioning what it means to be human. Corbin's postmodern sculptures consist of a tripartite of concept, emotion, and content. He has reimagined figurative sculpture to reflect new global trends and social issues. His sculptures suggest that figurative representation has not lost significance and continues to evolve meaningfully. https://dancorbin.net/home.html

Poetry and Music with De Kai, Katy Bohinc and Brigham Adams at Divers Gallery in San Francisco, California

Our Art Salon features three poets: Brigham Adams, Kary Bohinc, and DeKai, and it takes place in San Francisco at Divers Gallery, a new San Francisco art gallery launched in March 2023, with Jessica Folson, an active member of The San Francisco Conservatory of Music, playing the violin.

Brigham’s poems distill poignant moments into potent emotional elixirs – all filtered through his experience as a sociologist, musician, inventor, and healer. Katy Bohinc is a poet and data scientist, an avant-garde publisher and professional marketer, an activist, astrologer, and innovator. With a background in pure math and comparative literature, Katy has published three books of poetry, edited two volumes of poetry at the award-winning Tender Buttons Press, worked for a decade as a data scientist and engineer, and founded The Ratio, a project applying data science to study astrology. Her book "Trinity Star Trinity" re-invents the rhythms of the ancient ode as "trinity cubed"— 27 poems of 27 words each. Dedicated to Hera, the last of the Goddesses before a 2,500-year reign of male deities, "Trinity Star Trinity" envisions a four-dimensional faith where spirit and muse are in dialogue and devotion in mutual ecstasy.

ReOrientate founder, musician, and producer De Kai draws from his background in AI, cognition, and society to fuse music and culture across time and space in ways that meld east and west, acoustic and electronic, physical and virtual. ReOrientate’s signature use of cross-cultural cognitive musical illusions appears again in “Trinity, " an electronic track De Kai built upon a structure of 3×3×3×3×3×3×3 = 2,187 pulses. The vocal remix of “Trinity" features passages of poetry from Katy Bohinc’s book “Trinity Star Trinity. "
